North Sulawesi

North Sulawesi

North Sulawesi is the place to head to if you want palm fringed beaches, white sand, crystal clear waters, volcanic peaks and some of the best diving Indonesia has to offer.

Most people will arrive in North Sulawesi through Manado international airport. This airport serves, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Davo in the Phillipines and of course most major cities in Indonesia.

North Sulawesi has three major cities, those being Manado on the northern tip of the peninsula, Gorontalo and Tomohon.

From the port of Manado, it is just a short boat ride to the beautiful Bunaken. It is here where you will find all your diving needs while at the same time enjoying the breathtaking beauty above the water.

Tomohon is a beautiful place high up in the hills and is a refreshing break from the humid and sticky coastal waters. Tomohon is pretty easy to reach as you can arrange transport from Manado to take you into the Minihasan Highlands. The highlands have some volcanic peaks that you can climb and admire the wonderful views. A must see in Tomohon is the local market; it's here where you will find the local delicacy of dog.

Most major budget airlines will get you to North Sulawesi. Air Asia has regular flights to Manado.
